2020 Pool Information
Annual Meeting: Monday, June 1, 2020, at 6 pm

POOL HOURS
Opening Date: Saturday, May 23, 2020
Monday – Thursday, Saturday: 11 am – 9 pm
Fridays: 11 am – 10 pm
Sundays: 12 pm – 8 pm

Intramural swim meets on June 24th (Wednesday) at 6pm and on July 16th (Thursday) at 6pm. The pool will close early on these days.

The Board would like to thank the QHSRC members for their understanding during these unprecedented times. We have done our best to comply with State and DHEC guidelines to ensure the safety of all our members and staff.  We appreciate that you also do your part to practice social distancing, ensure personal hygiene measures, and DO NOT come to the pool if you or a family member are not feeling well, have a fever, or are exhibiting any other symptoms related to COVID-19.

Member statements have been mailed. Dues are due on May 31st.  As in years past, you can mail them in or drop them off at the pool guard shack.

The safety of everyone is our main objective during this time. We will continue to monitor the state and local guidelines and adjust operations, as needed, every two (2) weeks.

Governor McMaster announced that pools in South Carolina can re-open. DHEC has provided operational guidelines that we will follow to facilitate social distancing and sanitary conditions. We have formulated a game plan that follows these guidelines in an attempt to give members access to our great pool while keeping members, guests, and staff as safe as possible.

The protocols described below will be evaluated every two (2) weeks, and adjusted as needed to reflect any evolution in the status quo. This is uncharted territory, and we are eager to make all the right choices as things evolve. With luck, protocols that seem restrictive now might be loosened if the presence of disease in our community diminishes.

Pool Occupancy (TBD)

COVID-19 does not survive in chlorinated water, therefore it is not considered a water-borne illness.  We currently are determining a possible pool occupancy number. We have determined that usage will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will send out more information as it is available.

Cleaning:

Every day, beginning at 3:45 pm, it will be mandatory for members to leave the pool and deck areas so that all member-used and common area surfaces can be sprayed and wiped down with a commercial-grade sanitizer. Members will be allowed access again when cleaning is complete (approximately 45 minutes).

Snack Bar:

The concessions will be open soon. Please feel free to bring a cooler (NO GLASS)!

Grill:

The grill will be available for member use, but you will need to provide cooking utensils. Wipe your area after use.

Ice Machine:

Adults ONLY – please do not allow children to use the ice machine

Balls, Toys, Noodles, & Floats:

All swim toys will be allowed in the pool with the exception of any kind of ball. (Updated 6/5/2020)

Pool Parties:

Initially, pool parties will not be available for booking.

NEW & IMPROVED POLICIES and AMENITIES

  • Food Truck Nights – Beginning after June 14, the schedule will be released via email, the website, and social media.
  • LifeGuard Breaks/Adult Swim:
    • 10 minutes in length at the end of each hour

    • New signage

Swim Team Information
While we are deeply saddened that we will not be having an official CSL 2020 Swim Team this summer, we are pleased to offer 7 weeks of instructional learning. Our goal is to take this additional time and teach swimmers the details of all four strokes, have them perfect their flip turns, finishes, dives, and relay events. So much more will be offered and most importantly your child is guaranteed to have FUN! Please register at www.quailhollowswimteam.com and contact Laura Howell at qhswimteam@gmail.com if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you!

We cannot wait to see everyone!
